Songless (songless.pro)

This Songless lives at songless.pro and describes itself as the 0.1-second song guessing game, formerly called Songless Zeta. It is not the Songless on Lessgames, although the idea is the same: hear almost nothing of a song's intro and try to name it before the clip becomes generous.

The daily challenge gives everyone the same track, tied to the UTC date, so the new song arrives at midnight UTC wherever you are. The first clip is tiny, often a drum hit, a synth sound or a breath before a vocal. You search for the song or artist and submit, or skip; each skip or miss reveals more of the intro, and you have six chances before the answer is shown. Audio previews are streamed through Apple's music search service.

Around the daily round the site has a lot more: unlimited play, genre and era crates such as pop, hip hop, rock and K-pop, artist modes, a survival mode with three lives, friend challenge links that send the same set to someone else, leaderboards and an archive of earlier daily dates. There is also an iOS app.

The daily and the browser modes are free, with no sign-up. It is a good fit if you liked Heardle but want a harder opening and plenty to do once the daily song is solved.
