on apps.apple.com

SOLVD is a daily math puzzle for iPhone. Each puzzle is a small grid of connected arithmetic equations, running across and down, with some cells left blank, and you fill in the missing numbers so every equation works. There are three puzzles a day, Easy, Medium and Hard, the same for every player worldwide.
About SOLVD: Daily Math Puzzle Game
The equations in a SOLVD grid cross each other like a crossword, so one number often belongs to an equation across and another down. You tap a blank cell, type the number on the on-screen keypad and press OK. Each equation is checked as soon as it is complete: a wrong number turns the cell red, a right one turns it green and locks it. A timer runs at the top of the screen with a count of mistakes, and a Hint button gives three hints per puzzle.
The home screen shows the date, your day streak, best streak, total solves and badges, a row for the days of this week, and the Easy, Medium and Hard puzzles with a Play or Done mark on each. Solving at least one puzzle a day keeps the streak growing, and clearing all three in one day earns a streak shield that covers one missed day. Badges mark milestones such as solves with no mistakes or no hints. Practice gives unlimited extra puzzles at each difficulty, Replay lets you redo today's puzzles with a fresh timer, and an update added sharing, friends and best-time comparisons.
SOLVD is made by Joel Telling, known on YouTube as the 3D Printing Nerd, and came to the App Store in April 2026. It is free with no ads and no in-app purchases, and needs no sign-in. There are four colour themes, including a high-contrast mode.

Tips
- Start with an equation that has only one blank; its answer then gives you a number for the equation that crosses it.
- Wrong answers count as mistakes, so work the number out before you press OK.
- Play Easy first to get the shape of the day's grid, then move to Medium and Hard.
- Keep your hints for the Hard puzzle: you get three per puzzle.
