Shople puzzle #28 on desktop after two guesses, Coca-Cola and Nike, each with eight green, yellow and gray tiles for HQ, founded, employees, revenue, listing, vertical, shop and sub vertical

Shople is a free daily brand guessing game. Each guess is a company picked from a list of about 2,000, and eight tiles show how it compares with the mystery brand: country, founding year, staff and revenue bands, listing, industry, sub-industry and where you would buy it. You have ten guesses and two optional hints.

About Shople

Shople, from AdJamVentures LLC, launched its numbered daily puzzle on 28 September 2026, and Puzzle #28 ran on 25 October. The answer is a well-known brand, and you narrow it down the way you would in Worldle or Poeltl: by guessing other brands and reading how close each one is.

Every guess flips eight tiles. HQ Country is green for the same country and yellow for the same continent. Founded is green for the exact year and yellow within 15 years. Employees and Estimated Revenue use bands, from under 1,000 staff to over 500,000 and from under 1 billion dollars to over 200 billion, with yellow for one band off and arrows pointing higher or lower. Listing shows public, private or subsidiary. Vertical is one of 24 industries, with yellow for an adjacent one, Sub Vertical narrows it further, and Where to Shop shows the channel you would buy from. Each guess also gets a match percentage.

After guess four you can pick one hint (the HQ city, the sub-category or two keywords), and after guess eight one more, or the signature product; using a hint marks your shared grid. The site says its revenue and headcount figures come from filings and annual reports, with estimates labelled for private brands, and shows exact figures on the answer card.

A new brand goes up at midnight Eastern Time. An archive holds the last 60 puzzles (they do not count toward your streak), a colourblind setting swaps the tile colours, and stats stay in your browser with no account. A short guided tutorial walks first-time players through two guesses.

How to play Shople

  1. Open playshople.com and press Play; skip or follow the short tutorial.
  2. Type a brand in the search box and pick it from the dropdown; free text does not count, and picking submits the guess.
  3. Read the eight tiles: green is exact, yellow is close, gray is not close, and arrows on Founded, Employees and Revenue point higher or lower.
  4. Use the clues to choose a closer brand, within ten guesses.
  5. Take a hint after guess four or eight if you need it, then share your grid.

Tips

  • Open with a big public company from a common industry to test several bands at once.
  • The industry tile cuts the field most; settle it before chasing the founding year.
  • Listing is exact or nothing, never yellow, so a gray Listing on a public company rules out every listed brand at once.
