Setlist is a free daily word puzzle from Really Bad Studio. Each day you get five clues, and each answer begins with the last letter of the answer before it. You write all five lines, then ink the setlist once to find out how many you got right.
About Setlist
Setlist is one of the Dailies, two small word puzzles a day from Really Bad Studio, published side by side with the grouping puzzle Side Stage. It plays in the browser on a computer or a phone, is free and needs no account. Your streak is kept in the browser you play in.
A day's puzzle is a taped-down sheet of five numbered lines, each with a clue under it. The answers form a chain, so each word starts with the last letter of the word before. The sheet prints the first letter of the first word and, on most days, the last letter of the last one. On harder days the last letter is hidden. When you finish a line, the game writes its last letter at the start of the next line for you, so a wrong ending carries into the line below.
The clues lean on wordplay. On 27 October 2026 the set started with K, and the clues led from a booth at the mall through a famous mystery about what is worn under a garment, then a word for putting a motion on hold or setting it for dinner, then a nudge through a crowd, and ended on something you blow to stop play.
Nothing is marked as you go. You can fill the lines in any order and change anything, and only when you ink the setlist does the sheet ring the right words and strike the wrong ones. Each correct word is worth 20 points, for 100 in all. The Hint menu on each line can give a letter, check a letter or check the whole word, each for a few points. After two letters it can show the word, which then scores nothing. On days with the last letter hidden, the first hint turns the links on.
After the ink you get a result card with one mark per word and your score, never the words, and a chart of how your score compares with other players. Finishing either Setlist or Side Stage keeps the shared streak going. Past days go to the Dailies archive, and a few practice sheets are there to learn on. Neither changes the streak. It suits players who like clued word puzzles and have about five minutes a day.
How to play Setlist
- Open the day's Setlist and read the five clues.
- Write the first answer, starting from the printed letter.
- Each next line starts with the last letter of the word above, which the game fills in for you. Write the rest of the word.
- Use a line's Hint menu if you are stuck. It can give a letter, check a letter or check the whole word for a few points.
- When all five lines are written, press Ink the setlist and confirm. That is your one submit.
- Read your score out of 100, copy the result card if you want to share it, and come back after midnight for the next set.

Tips
- Solve the clue you are surest of first, even in the middle. Its first and last letters narrow the words on either side.
- Check that each answer's last letter fits the next clue before you ink the setlist, since nothing is marked until then.
- On days with the last letter hidden, turning on the links costs fewer points than checking a whole word, so try it first.
- If you miss midnight, you have six more hours to finish yesterday's set for yesterday's credit.
Questions
What time does Setlist reset?
At midnight where you are. A puzzle you have already started stays open, so you can finish it after midnight. For six hours after midnight you can still finish yesterday's set for yesterday's credit.
Do I need an account to play Setlist?
No. It is free with no signup, and your streak is saved in the browser you play in.
How is Setlist scored?
Each correct word is worth 20 points, for 100 in all. Hints take points off: a letter costs 4, checking a letter 2 and checking a whole word 6. A word the Hint menu shows you scores 0.
Can I play earlier Setlist puzzles?
Yes. Past days go to the Dailies archive, and there are practice puzzles too. Neither changes your streak.
Does Setlist have ads?
We saw none. The page loads only the studio's own scripts, and no ad showed on a computer or a phone.
