Searchle shows the start of a real search query each day and asks how Google would finish it. You have six tries to type the missing word, and each letter turns colour to show whether it is in the word and in the right place. It is one of the Teuteuf games, free with ads, with an archive of past prompts.
About Searchle
Searchle mixes Wordle with the oddities of search autocomplete. Each day it shows the beginning of a search people really type, like 'are sharks afraid of', 'do bees have' or 'why is my car so', and the word Google suggests next is the answer. Everyone gets the same prompt that day.
The prompt sits in a search box above a grid as wide as the answer and six rows deep. You type a guess and press Enter, and each letter is coloured as in Wordle: green for the right letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter that is in the word elsewhere, grey for one that is not there. The answer's length changes with the prompt, so count the boxes first. The fun is that the answer is often not the sensible completion but the strange one people actually search for.
An 'I'm feeling lucky' link under the keyboard fills in a plausible but usually wrong guess, a joke on Google's own button. Settings let you require valid English words, turn on Hard Mode (found letters must be used in later guesses) and switch to dark or high-contrast colours. The clock icon opens an archive of past prompts that anyone can play, and a statistics card keeps your streak and guess distribution.
Searchle is listed among Teuteuf's games, beside Worldle, WhenTaken and Emovi. It runs in any browser on a desktop or a phone, needs no account, and shows display ads beside or above the board.
How to play Searchle
- Open Searchle and read the day's search prompt in the search box.
- Think how Google would finish it and type a word as long as the row of boxes.
- Press Enter and read the colours: green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow is in the word elsewhere, grey is not in it.
- Use the clues to guess again, up to six times, until you find the autocomplete word.
- Share your result or open the archive to play earlier prompts.

Tips
- Go for the odd answer: autocomplete reflects what people search, not what makes sense.
- Count the boxes before your first guess; the answer's length changes every day.
- Turn on Hard Mode before your first guess; it cannot be switched on mid-game.
- The 'I'm feeling lucky' guess is usually wrong, but its letters can still tell you something.
