RogueRun - Abyss Tower

on apps.apple.com

RogueRun: Abyss Tower is a pixel-art action roguelike for phones, controlled by tapping the left or right side of the screen. In Exploration mode the generated dungeon stays fixed for the whole day and every player tackles the same stages, so you can retry it and compare notes. A Deep Exploration mode makes a new layout every run. It is free with ads, and a paid pack removes the interstitial ads.
About RogueRun - Abyss Tower
RogueRun: Abyss Tower is a side-on action roguelike set in a tall tower of generated pixel dungeons. Your hero runs automatically in the direction you tap, and tapping on the left or right side triggers turns, jumps, wall climbs, rolls and attacks.
It is made by ZOO Corporation, a studio in Nagano, Japan, and came to the App Store and Google Play in 2020 and 2021. It can be played in English or Japanese, and it is still updated: the Google Play version was last updated in August 2026.
The daily part is the normal Exploration mode. Its dungeon does not change during the day, so if you fall you can try the same stage again and remember the map, and since every player gets the same stages that day, explorers can share tips about the layout. The next day brings a new dungeon. Deep Exploration mode is the classic roguelike option, with a different layout on each attempt.
Between runs you strengthen swords, spears, staves and other weapons using materials you carry out of the dungeon, merge weapons of the same type, and dress your character in gear that changes the avatar. It suits players who like short action runs on a phone and the idea of learning one map a day.
The game is free. It shows interstitial ads and offers ads for reward bonuses after a stage, and an in-app Interstitial Ad Remove Pack takes the interstitials away. Players praise the music and the pixel art; many find the two-tap controls, which flip as your hero turns, hard at first.

Tips
- Since the daily layout does not change, use early failed runs to learn where the traps and enemies are.
- Merge weapons of the same type to raise their power before tackling deeper floors.
- Save Deep Exploration for when you want practice on fresh layouts.
- The left and right taps follow the way your hero faces, so watch the direction before you tap, as players who struggle with the controls advise.
