Revertle

Revertle is a Wordle variant by Puppetsquid, dated from 2022 by its own day count. Where Wordle hides the word, Revertle shows it to you; the puzzle is to avoid it.

Each day's Hidden Word is shown in red, as in the rules' example SHUSH. You type ordinary five-letter words. Every time one of the Hidden Word's letters appears in your word in a different position from where it sits in the Hidden Word, that letter advances one step, from red to yellow and from yellow to green. A letter may be used more than once in a word and moves with each use. But if you put a letter in the very same position it holds in the Hidden Word, it turns red again and loses its progress.

You have five words to turn all the Hidden Word's letters green on the keyboard. You may not repeat a word, and every word must contain at least one letter that is not in the puzzle. The rules box offers a High Contrast colour set, a Pride Mode with six colour steps per letter instead of three and its own streak, an Easy Mode with unlimited guesses that reveals letters as you find them, and an Unlimited mode that picks a random word on each refresh.

Since 22 October 2026 the game does not load. Its script imports a confetti effect from cdn.skypack.dev without a version, and that address answers with a server error. The page stays on its loading message on desktop and phone alike, and on 29 October it was still the same.

It suits Wordle players looking for a fresh constraint: instead of narrowing down a mystery, you juggle letters you already know.
