Guess the day's Overwatch hero from clues, a silhouette and an ability icon, then name the map.

on overwatchdle.day

OverwatchDLE's Heroes mode on 29 October 2026 after three guesses, Tracer, Reinhardt and Mercy, with gender, role, species, origin, affiliation, age and year cells in green and red

OverwatchDLE is a free fan-made daily guessing game for Overwatch players. Each day you find a hero from seven attribute clues, another from a blurred silhouette and another from a hidden ability icon, and name a map from a picture that zooms out. Guesses are unlimited and your score is the number of tries.

About OverwatchDLE (overwatchdle.day)

OverwatchDLE is a fan-made daily game for Overwatch in the style of Wordle and LoLdle. It comes from Taxon Games, which runs the same format for Valorant, Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends, Deadlock, Dead by Daylight, Rainbow Six Siege, Street Fighter 6, Tekken and For Honor. It is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.

The day has four puzzles, each with its own answer. In Heroes every guess fills seven cells: gender, role, species, origin, affiliation, age and release year. Green is a match and red a miss. Origin turns orange when the hero is from the right continent but another country, and the two number cells carry an arrow toward the answer. Maps opens on a tight crop of a map and pulls back a step after each wrong guess. Silhouette starts as a dark, blurred render that clears as you miss, and Abilities hides one weapon or ability icon behind tiles that drop away a few at a time.

There is no guess limit and no game over. Two bonus modes, Hero Challenge and Map Challenge, give a second hero and map each day under harder rules: a guess uncovers one cell of its row at first, or the map starts closer with its colour drained and ten zoom steps. Solving one puzzle a day keeps a streak going, past days can be replayed from the archive without touching your stats, and yesterday's answers go up each morning on their own page.

Friends can compare scores in a private group with a shared code or race each other in a versus match, with only a nickname. The site needs no account, keeps stats in the browser, installs as a web app and runs in eleven language versions, among them English, French, Korean and Japanese. It suits players who know the roster and the map pool well.

How to play OverwatchDLE (overwatchdle.day)

  1. Open overwatchdle.day and choose Heroes.
  2. Type a hero's name, pick it from the suggestions and press Guess.
  3. Read the seven cells. Green is a match, red a miss, orange an origin on the right continent, and arrows show whether the answer's age or release year is higher or lower.
  4. Keep guessing until the row is all green. Your score is the number of tries.
  5. Play Maps, Silhouette and Abilities the same way, where each wrong guess zooms out, clears the blur or lifts more tiles.
  6. Share your result and come back after your local midnight for the next set.

Tips

  • Role and affiliation cut the roster fastest, so open with a hero whose role you can rule in or out.
  • Use the release year arrow to split the original 2016 heroes from later ones.
  • On the map crop, read the sky, the building materials and the colour palette before small props.
  • Check the codex when you are unsure which hero owns an ability icon.
  • Read yesterday's answers each morning to fill gaps in what you know.
