OutClocked is a free daily trivia game in the browser. Everyone gets the same seven general-knowledge questions, each with four answers, but the time allowed halves after every question: 60 seconds for the first, under one second for the last. A wrong answer cuts the time you have left in half, and when the clock runs out your day is over.
About OutClocked
OutClocked is a daily general-knowledge quiz by Karol Gajda that went live on 4 October 2026. A new game goes up every morning at 6am Eastern Time, and every player gets the same seven questions. The days are numbered, so 30 October 2026 was Day 27.
Each question shows four possible answers under a large countdown. The first question gives you 60 seconds, the second 30, then 15, 7.5, 3.75, 1.88 and finally 0.94 seconds. A wrong answer does not end the game on its own. It crosses that choice out and halves the time left on the clock, so you can still find the right one if there is time. When the clock reaches zero you are done for the day, and how many questions you cleared is your score.
The early questions leave plenty of room to think. The last two have to be read and answered almost at once, which is why the game calls itself nearly impossible. The order of the four answers is shuffled, so you cannot rely on a position. Now and then a day carries a theme, such as a set of basketball questions for NBA opening day.
When you finish you can share your result and see how everyone did that day: a chart shows the share of players who got each question right on the first try. A daily leaderboard ranks scores, then fewest misses, then total time, and it shows only players who chose to be named.
You can play without an account. Signing in with an email link keeps a streak, lets you start or join a friend league and can send a reminder when the new game is out. Past days can be replayed from the archive, though replays do not count toward streaks, stats or the leaderboard.
It suits players who like a short quiz with some pressure in it. A whole day takes two minutes at most.
How to play OutClocked
- Open outclocked.com and press Start today's game.
- Read the question and pick one of the four answers before the countdown reaches zero. You get 60 seconds for the first question.
- If your pick is wrong it is crossed out and the time left is cut in half. Try another answer while the clock still runs.
- A right answer moves you on to the next question, which has half the time of the one before.
- The day ends when the clock runs out or after the seventh question at 0.94 seconds. Share your result and come back after 6am Eastern Time.

Tips
- Use the long clock on the first questions to settle in. The time on question one is more than you need.
- Do not guess wildly on a hard question. Each miss halves what is left, so a second wrong pick leaves you a quarter of the time.
- For the last questions, read the answers first. With under two seconds there is no time to read twice.
- The answers are shuffled each time, so look at the words and not at where the right one sat before.
- Replay past games from the archive to practise the speed of the short rounds. Replays do not affect your stats.
