on numbword.com

Numbword is a daily word puzzle that mixes spelling with addition. Every letter has a value from A=1 to Z=26, and each hidden word's letters add up to the day's target. There are three words a day, of four, five and six letters, and each guess shows its own total, marks letters that are in the word, and uses up part of a budget bar.
About Numbword
Numbword gives you a target number and a word length and asks you to find the hidden word whose letter values add up to that target. The keyboard shows each letter's value under it, and the total of your guess appears beside the row, so you can build a guess that hits the number. An optional smart keyboard helps with the sums.
After each guess, letters turn blue when they are in the word somewhere and gray when they are not, as in Wordle but without telling you the exact position. Instead of a fixed number of rows, there is a budget bar: each guess uses up room depending on how far its total is from the target, and when the bar runs out the game ends. A hint reveals a letter at a cost of 10 points.
Each day has three puzzles, the same for everyone: Quick with four letters, Daily with five and Hard with six, switched with a selector above the board. They roll over at midnight on your own clock. A calendar archive lets you replay earlier days and a practice button serves random words, neither of which counts toward your stats. Streaks and achievements are kept in the browser, and results can be shared without spoilers.
The game is in English, with a Turkish version that has its own alphabet and word lists. It suits players who like Wordle but want a bit of mental arithmetic in every guess. The page asks for support on Ko-fi and loads Google's ad script.

Tips
- Aim every guess at the exact target total; it saves budget and still tests letters.
- High-value letters like W, X, Y and Z change the total quickly, so use them to adjust.
- Once you know a few blue letters, work out what the remaining letters must add up to.
- Play Quick first: a four-letter word is a gentle warm-up for the sums.
