Rate itEight letter tiles, a 5x5 grid: build connected words for the highest score.
on games.productpickle.online

Mocktiles is a daily word-building puzzle from Product Pickle Games. Everyone gets the same eight letter tiles, and you place them on a 5x5 grid as connected words running across or down, with each tile's colour setting its points. Every word you add scores in full, so growing a word step by step pays, and your total puts you in a tier.
About Mocktiles
Mocktiles gives every player the same eight letter tiles each day, numbered on the screen (Mocktiles #296 on 21 October 2026). The tiles are coloured yellow, green, blue and purple, worth 1, 2, 3 and 4 points. You place them on an empty five by five grid to form words in straight lines, across or down, and every tile on the board has to stay connected to the rest.
You pick a start cell, tap it again to switch between across and down, tap tiles to lay them in line and press Add Word. Each word you add scores the sum of its tiles in full, letters it shares with words already on the board included. That is the heart of the puzzle: building AN, then CAN, then CANDY scores all three, so a few well-placed letters can count several times. A Reset button clears the board up to four times, and Submit ends the day's game.
The score bar marks the tiers: Cool from 1 point, Nice from 10, Clever from 20, Brilliant from 25 and the top tier from 30. A dictionary lets you check a word, and Global Stats shows how others played that day, including the top score so far. A switch at the top moves between the daily puzzle and a Practice mode with extra boards, and the game keeps a streak and stats in the browser.
Mocktiles is one of a handful of daily puzzles from Product Pickle Games, alongside Vertiqle, Hexqle and Mirraqle. It is free in the browser with no account and no ads, and suits players who like Scrabble-style scoring in a puzzle short enough for a coffee break.
How to play Mocktiles

Tips
- Grow a word one letter at a time (AN, CAN, CANDY): every version counts as its own word.
- Put blue and purple tiles where several words will pass through them.
- Short words are fine if they let you use every tile.
- Keep a Reset in reserve for when a better layout occurs to you late.
- Check Global Stats after playing to see the day's top score.
