Daily Mini Crossword (The Observer, Fordham)

The Observer is the student newspaper of Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus in New York, and its Fun and Games section carries a Daily Mini Crossword. Each puzzle is posted as its own dated story, titled with the day, such as Friday, October 16, and signed by the student who made it. The archive runs back across about sixty pages of past puzzles.

Most grids are five by five with one or two black squares and about ten clues across and down; some days, such as a Friday, bring a larger seven by seven grid with a few more. The clues are a general mix: plain definitions like Wipe clean or Requiring immediate attention, fill-in-the-blank phrases, a Shakespeare word or a Bible reference, with the odd film, TV or song title among them.
