Mini Crossword (Fox News)

The Mini Crossword is one of the free daily puzzles on Fox News's games page, next to the full-size Daily Crossword, Five Across, Word Search, Sudoku and several newer word games. Since 18 October 2026 it runs in Fox's own games player, which shows one dated edition per day for everyone.

The grid is five squares across and five down, with a few black squares. On 26 October 2026 it held nine numbered entries, and the first clue was 1 Across, Curved path, a three-letter answer. You tap a square and type on the keyboard beside the grid or your own keyboard. The current clue sits in a bar above the keys, with arrows to step through the others, and a timer runs at the top.

A menu offers Autocheck along with checks and reveals for a square, a word or the whole puzzle, so a stuck solver can finish. The games hub keeps a day streak with a five-day milestone and has a date picker for earlier days.

The page is free and needs no sign-in, though the Fox News site around it carries ads. It suits anyone who wants a short crossword before a bigger one, on a phone or at a desk.
