Mazele's board on 29 October 2026 after one guess: a straight line across the third row, with orange, green and black count blocks on the rows and columns and the guess listed below

Mazele is a daily deduction game that crosses Wordle with a maze. A hidden path runs from the left column of a 6x6 grid to the right, and you have six guesses to find it. After each guess, coloured counts on every row and column tell you how close you were.

About Mazele

In Mazele the maze is invisible. Each day there is one hidden path that starts somewhere in the left column of a 6x6 grid and ends somewhere in the right column. It moves only up, down, left and right, and it never touches itself. You draw a guess by selecting squares (click them, or press and hold to drag across several), submit it, and the game answers with an indicator block at the end of every row and column.

Each block shows how many squares your guess filled in that line, coloured like Wordle's tiles. Black means the hidden path has a different number of squares there. Orange means the count is right but the squares sit in the wrong place, and green means both count and positions are right. Reading the rows against the columns lets you pin down the path, and every earlier guess stays listed under the board so you can compare them.

The page fetches the maze stored for your local date, so everyone playing on that date gets the same one. The share text carries the puzzle number and a grid of your clues. The game has run since March 2023, with a tutorial, statistics and achievements for streaks of up to three years. Its maker keeps release notes on the site and has shown ads from Yolla Media since December 2023.

It suits players who like Wordle's feedback loop but want a spatial puzzle, and nonogram fans who enjoy reasoning from row and column counts.

How to play Mazele

  1. Look at the empty 6x6 grid. The hidden path starts in the left column and ends in the right column.
  2. Select squares to draw a guess at the path. It must be one connected line with no diagonal steps that never touches itself.
  3. Press Submit and read the block at the end of each row and column. Black is the wrong count, orange the right count in the wrong place, green the right count in the right place.
  4. Use the clues to refine your guess and find the exact path within six guesses.

Tips

  • Start with a straight line or a simple shape so the first set of counts is easy to read.
  • Green rows and columns are fixed: keep those squares in every later guess.
  • Orange counts tell you how many squares belong in that line, so shift them rather than adding or removing.
  • Play the tutorial first if the row and column indicators are new to you.

Questions

How many guesses do I get in Mazele?

Six.

What do the colours mean?

Black: wrong number of filled squares in that row or column. Orange: right number, wrong place. Green: right number in the right place.

Is the maze the same for everyone?

Yes. The game loads the maze stored for the date, so everyone playing on that date gets the same one.

When does a new maze come out?

At midnight on your own device. The menu shows a countdown to the next maze.
