Hunterdle

Hunterdle is one of the anime character -dles on animedle.org, from the same family as Chainsawdle, Frierendle and Sololevelingdle, and a fan project that Hunter x Hunter's trademark holders do not endorse. Each day has one numbered hidden character for everyone, changing at midnight in your time zone, and the page shows yesterday's answer under the board. The answer is taken in turn from a list of 108 characters by the day of the year, so regulars will meet the same character again about every three and a half months.

Each guess fills a row with the character's picture and properties: gender, race (human, Chimera Ant and others), hair colour, age band, Nen type, affiliation and first arc. Green tiles match, red ones do not, and arrows on age and arc point toward the answer. Nen type is the clue that sets it apart: an Emitter, Conjurer or Specialist narrows the cast quickly. After 9 guesses a quote hint unlocks, and after 14 one about the character's first appearance.

Beside the classic daily there is Wordly, a second daily where you spell out the same-for-everyone character's name in 10 tries with Wordle-style letter colours, and an Unlimited mode for more rounds. A flame counter keeps your streak, and no account is needed.

Pressing Play, or opening the page on a phone, brings up a full-screen ad with a Close button before the board, and the page carries more ad banners around it. On a phone the tile columns scroll sideways. It suits fans who know the cast across the Hunter Exam, Greed Island and the Chimera Ant arc.
