Honkaidle

Honkaidle takes the Wordle idea and applies it to the cast of Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse's turn-based space fantasy game. There is one hidden character a day, the same for everyone who plays, and the page names the previous day's answer under the search box so you can check how yesterday went.

You play by typing a character's name into the search field and picking it from the list that drops down. Each guess adds a row with the character's portrait and five clues: Gender, Stars (the rarity, 4 or 5), Path, Element and Origin, the faction or place the character comes from, such as the Astral Express, the Stellaron Hunters or Cosmic for characters from elsewhere. A green cell means that trait matches today's character and a red cell means it does not, so each guess narrows the field. There is no limit on guesses; when you find the character the page says Correct, names it and counts down to the next one.

The day's character comes from a fixed list in the page's code, counted from 19 June 2024 by your device's date, over a roster of 89 characters. A character returns after about two and a half months on average, sometimes much sooner, and the list as it stands runs to 20 March 2027.

The game comes from the same makers as ZZZdle and Impactdle, which do the same for Zenless Zone Zero and Genshin Impact with the same layout, and the sites link to each other at the bottom of the page. It plays in the browser with no account. Google ads run on the page: an inline ad link beside yesterday's answer and an anchor bar at the foot of the screen.

It suits Star Rail players who know the roster well and want a short daily check of that knowledge, or anyone already playing the sibling games.
