Griductive is a daily grid-deduction puzzle from Knotwise Games. Everyone on the board is secretly a criminal or an innocent, every clue is true, and each correct call flips a card to reveal a new clue. The board refuses any verdict the clues do not yet prove, so the day's grid is solved by logic alone.
About Griductive
Griductive is a daily deduction puzzle by Shawn Liu of Knotwise Games, which also publishes the daily puzzles Alibi, Tilerdle and Solitile. It launched in June 2026, and its old address, griductive.com, now leads to its page on knotwise.games.
Each day's board is a grid of people, each with a name, a job and a grid reference such as B3. Every one of them is either a criminal or an innocent, and exactly one line-up fits all the statements. One or two cards start face up with a clue, such as "Exactly 2 of the 3 innocents in column C are Tom's neighbors". You tap a person, call them innocent or criminal, and a correct call flips their card and hands you their clue. Some flipped cards carry only a line of chatter rather than a clue.
The game checks every call against what the clues on the table already force. A call that is not yet provable is turned down and the board says so; a provable call made the wrong way is turned down with a different message. Nothing is lost either way: there are no lives, and the card simply stays closed. A timer runs, a Mark tool keeps pencil notes, and Hint points at the next forced step.
The week has a shape: Monday is easy, the middle of the week medium, Thursday and Friday tricky, Saturday hard and Sunday evil. Today's grid needs no account. The last seven days stay free in the archive; older grids and a 50-board Big Board Pack come with the Knotwise+ subscription or a one-off purchase. An Android app is in open beta, with an iPhone app announced.
It suits players of Clues by Sam and other criminal-or-innocent grids who like a board that will not let them guess.
How to play Griductive
- Open today's grid; a short tutorial case shows the rules the first time, and Skip takes you to the day's board.
- Read the clues on the cards already turned face up.
- Find a person whose verdict the clues already force, tap them and choose Innocent or Criminal.
- A correct call flips the card and shows that person's statement; a call the clues do not prove is turned down at no cost.
- Reread every clue after each flip and keep going until all suspects have a verdict.

Tips
- Sweep the whole board for a forced verdict instead of staring at one interesting person.
- Start from the clue that names the fewest people: it constrains the most.
- Read the wording exactly: neighbors, connected, exactly and at least each mean something different.
- Jobs are not hints: a cook is no more suspect than a guard.
- If the board turns a call down, note whether it said unproven or wrong: a wrong call means an inference is waiting somewhere.
Questions
What time does a new Griductive grid come out?
At midnight Eastern Time, every day.
Is the puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes. There is one grid a day for all players, easy on Monday and hardest on Sunday.
Can I guess?
No. The board turns down any verdict the clues do not yet prove, and tells you whether the call was unproven or wrong. Nothing is lost when it does.
Is it free?
Today's grid is free with no account, and so are the last seven days in the archive. Older grids and the Big Board Pack come with the Knotwise+ subscription or a purchase.
Does Griductive have ads?
We saw no ads on the game page in the browser, at desktop or phone size.
