Galexical is a daily semantic word hunt drawn as a galaxy. The secret word is the sun, every guess is ranked by how close its meaning is, and close words orbit near the centre while far ones drift out; type the exact word to solve it.

About Galexical

Galexical works like Semantle and Contexto: it compares the meaning of your guesses with the day's secret word, not their spelling. Every guess gets a rank, where #1 is the secret word itself, and a heat scale from far to scorching tells you how warm you are.

What sets it apart is the picture. The secret word sits at the centre of a star field as a sun, and each word you try is placed in orbit, nearer the sun the closer it is in meaning. A Journey panel lists your guesses in rank order so you can see which directions are paying off.

Each puzzle is numbered, there is one a day, and it can be played in English or French. When you solve it you can copy a share of your result. It suits players who already enjoy semantic word games and like seeing their search mapped out.

How to play Galexical

Type any word and press Guess.
Read its rank and heat: the lower the rank and the hotter the colour, the closer its meaning to the secret word.
Watch where it lands in orbit and check your ranked list in the Journey panel.
Keep guessing in the warmest direction until you type the exact secret word.

Tips

Start with broad words from different fields (food, emotion, place) to find a warm area.
Once a word runs hot, try its synonyms and related words rather than a new topic.
Words that only look alike score nothing: think meaning, not spelling.
