Fruit Salad is a cosy physics puzzle game on Steam: you drop bouncy fruit into a container, and two matching fruits merge into the next bigger one, from a cherry up to a watermelon. Its Daily Salad mode gives every player the same fruit sequence each day, so scores can be compared fairly. It is rated Very Positive on Steam.

About Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad comes from The Dead Pixel Society and came out on Steam in November 2023, for Windows, macOS and Linux. It is a take on the fruit-merging game made popular by Suika Game: fruit drops from the top of a glass container, matching fruits that touch merge into the next size up, and the game ends when the container overflows. Planning where each drop lands, and leaving room for one more, is the whole craft.

Besides the Classic mode with Steam leaderboards, a timed Survival mode, an Arcade mode with special fruit and, since a September 2026 update, Classic and Arcade Versus against a friend on the same computer or online, it has the Daily Salad: a fresh challenge every day in which everyone gets the same fruit sequence. Because the order of fruit is fixed for the day, the luck of the draw is taken out and the day's high score comes down to how well you place them.

It costs about two euros on Steam, has no ads, and is rated Very Positive by its players. It can be played in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese.

How to play Fruit Salad

Open Fruit Salad and choose Daily Salad.
Move the fruit along the top of the container and drop it.
Let matching fruits touch to merge them into the next bigger fruit, from cherry to watermelon.
Keep dropping without overflowing the container, and compare your score on the day's board.

Tips

Keep the biggest fruit in one corner so smaller ones can merge beside it.
Watch the Next Fruit panel and plan two drops ahead.
Since everyone gets the same sequence, a careful second attempt can learn from the first.
