Fridgle day 65 on a desktop: the words keen, twinkle, melted and lately placed in the poem line above rows of magnet-style word tiles, with reset, shuffle and finalize

Fridgle is a daily writing toy built on fridge magnet poetry. Each day every player gets the same set of word tiles to arrange into a poem, then finalizes it and can read what others made from the same tiles on the world fridge.

About Fridgle

Fridgle calls itself a daily fridge poetry toy. Each numbered day hands every player the same batch of about fifty word tiles: nouns, verbs, small words, punctuation and fragments such as -ness or s, many with alternate forms you pick from a small arrow on the tile (clouds or clouding, for example). The first day was 15 August 2026, and a new set appears at midnight by your own device's date.

You tap tiles to move them into the poem area above the pile, drag them to reorder, add line breaks (up to two in a row), indent lines by dragging them sideways and push words apart with a spacer tile. A shuffle button mixes the pile and reset clears the poem. There is no right answer and no score: when the poem feels right you finalize it, and there are no take-backs. A hard mode in the settings sets a specific number of tiles you must use each day.

Finished poems can be shared as text, the world fridge shows other players' poems from the same tiles, a calendar lets you play earlier days and a history keeps your own past poems. There is a dark mode that follows your device. The page has no ads and asks for no account.

It suits people who like wordplay without pressure, poets, and anyone who once moved magnetic words around a fridge door. Players who want a puzzle with a solution will find it closer to a writing prompt than a game to win.

How to play Fridgle

  1. Open today's set of word tiles; the day number shows at the top.
  2. Tap tiles to place them in the poem line and drag them to rearrange; use a tile's arrow to switch to another form of the word.
  3. Use the line break tile to start new lines, drag lines sideways to indent them and the spacer tile to add room between words.
  4. Finalize when you are happy (there are no take-backs), then share the poem or visit the world fridge to read others.

Tips

  • Start with one striking word from the set and build around it.
  • Small words such as so, and or the are scarce; spend them where they matter.
  • Fragments like -ness and s let you make new forms of words, so check the pile for them before giving up on a word.
  • Line breaks change the rhythm a lot; try a few layouts before you finalize.
  • Try hard mode for a fixed tile count that pushes you to use more of the set.
