on footyfortunes.com

FootyFortunes hides five current players from one league each day, showing only each one's estimated value and position. Every player you guess reveals any club, nationality, age or shirt number he shares with the hidden five. Find all five before your 20 lives run out.
About FootyFortunes
FootyFortunes is a daily football guessing game. At midnight a new set of five hidden players goes up for each league: the Premier League, LaLiga, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. Each hidden player sits in a column showing only his estimated market value at the top and his position at the bottom, with his club, nationality, age and shirt number hidden.
You type a player's name on the on-screen keyboard, pick him from the suggestions and press Guess. If he is one of the five, his name is revealed and his column turns green. If not, you lose one of your 20 lives, but any trait he shares with a hidden player (the same club, nationality, age or shirt number) is revealed in that player's column. Three hints let you uncover a trait of your choice at any time.
The five players are the same for everyone, and each day's set is numbered, so results can be compared: the share text reads like FootyFortunes #27 - 3/5. Winning means finding all five; wins build a streak, and awards reward other challenges even on days you fall short. A countdown at the top shows the time to the next set.
It differs from one-player football -dles in that you hunt five players at once, and a wrong guess can still help with any of them. The site carries ads.
How to play FootyFortunes
- Press Play to open a league's game (the Premier League one is at footyfortunes.com/epl) and look at the five hidden players' values and positions.
- Type a player's name on the keyboard, choose him from the suggestions and press Guess.
- A correct guess reveals that player; a wrong one costs a life but reveals any matching club, nationality, age or shirt number.
- Use up to three hints to reveal a trait of your choice.
- Find all five before your 20 lives run out, then share your score.
Tips
- Start with players who share a club with several plausible answers: one guess can reveal the club for more than one column.
- Market value and position together narrow things a lot; a high-value centre forward leaves few candidates.
- Save hints for the column you are least sure about, and pick the trait that splits candidates best, often the club.
- A wrong guess is not wasted if it reveals traits, so guess players likely to share something with the hidden five.
