Flip Phrase

Flip Phrase is a browser word game by bustabrent, playable on its own site, flipphrase.com, and on itch.io, where it was published in 2026. Its maker describes it as inspired by classic phrase-guessing shows.

The day's answer appears as rows of face-down tiles, one per letter, with a hint below them: Phrase, Title, Song Title, Occupation, Place, Event, Quotation and other game-show style categories. There is no wheel and no letter guessing: you simply tap any tile to turn it over, and a counter shows how many of the letters you have revealed. As soon as you think you know the answer, you type it in. The fewer letters you have revealed when you solve it, the better your score, so each flip is a small bet between more information and a higher score.

Everyone plays the same phrase each day, and a new one comes out at midnight Central Time. The game keeps your stats and streak on your device and lets you share your result without the answer. A community leaderboard is there for players who create a free account; the daily itself needs none.
