Flappy Bird (daily run, HydroEngineer)

The game follows the familiar formula. A gold bird falls under gravity, each tap gives it a flap upward, and you steer it through gaps in pairs of green pipes against a night city skyline. Touching a pipe or the ground ends the run, and each pipe you pass scores a point. There are three gap sizes to choose from: Easy, Normal and Hard, with smaller gaps, faster scrolling and pipes that wander further on the harder settings.

The Daily button starts the shared run. Its pipes are generated from the date in UTC, so every player gets the same course until midnight UTC, and it always uses the Normal settings. You can retry as often as you like; the game remembers your best score for that day. A run earns a bronze medal at 10 pipes, silver at 20, gold at 30 and platinum at 40, and a Share button copies your result.

It is a single-file game by HydroEngineer, a civil engineer who makes games on the side, published free on itch.io in September 2026 and also hosted on boardgaminghub.com. There is no account, no ads and no tracking, and it works offline once loaded. A standalone download costs $1. The itch.io page notes AI assistance for code and text.

Under the game on its own page, a discussion board lets players who sign in with GitHub post their daily score or report a bug. Nothing posts on its own while you play.
