Guess flags to uncover the parts they share with the hidden one, in six tries.

Today's Flagle Game board after one guess: Central African Republic at 18.2% has uncovered a red vertical stripe and a white block of the hidden flag

Flagle Game hides one country's flag each day. You guess a flag, and every pixel of your guess that matches the hidden flag is revealed, with a similarity score to tell you how close you are. You have six tries; an unlimited mode lets you keep practising.

About Flagle Game (flagle-game.com)

This Flagle, at flagle-game.com, is a flag-guessing game built on overlap rather than tiles. Each numbered daily hides a country's flag. When you guess a country, the parts of its flag that overlap with the hidden one in colour and position are revealed, and the game tells you the overlap or similarity in percent, from a weak match to only a slight difference. All flags are scaled to the same proportions.

You have six guesses to name the country, and the share line shows coloured squares for your progress. A hard mode and a setting to hide flag icons in the country list make it tougher. Next to the daily, an unlimited mode gives you as many practice flags as you like.

It shares its name with Teuteuf's Flagle at flagle.io, a different game that uncovers the flag tile by tile. It suits flag fans who enjoy reasoning from colour and layout, and players who want a second daily flag puzzle with a different mechanic.

The site carries display ads: a banner sits above the board on desktop and on a phone, and ad overlays can appear between pages. Your statistics and streak are kept in the browser, with no account.

Tips

  • Open with a flag that has many common colours and a simple layout, such as a tricolour.
  • A high similarity with a wrong flag usually means a near neighbour or a flag with the same layout.
  • Turn on hard mode once the daily feels easy.

Questions

Is this the same as Flagle at flagle.io?

No. It shares the name, but this game reveals the overlapping pixels of each guess instead of uncovering tiles.

Can I play more than once a day?

Yes, in the unlimited mode; the daily is once a day.

When does the daily flag change?

At midnight in your own time zone. The game counts days from its first puzzle on 16 March 2022 and picks the flag by your device's date.

Does it have ads?

Yes. A banner ad runs above the board and the site loads an ad network, so expect ads around the game.
