Factle is a daily trivia game from Front Office Sports. Each day's question asks for a ranked top five, such as the five largest regional seas; you tap five of the 16 answers on offer into order and the tiles show which are in the right spot, which are in the list but misplaced, and which are not in the top five. You have five tries.
About Factle
Factle is a top-five ranking game published by Front Office Sports, which also runs a sports-only edition, Factle Sports. The general Factle asks one question a day on any subject, always with a ranked answer of five: largest seas, busiest train stations, biggest smartphone brands of a given year. Each question names its data source under the board.
The board offers 16 possible answers. You tap five of them into slots one to five, drag them to reorder, and submit. Each slot then shows its colour: green for an answer in the right place, yellow for one that is in the top five but in the wrong place, and grey for one that is not in the list. The row of small squares above the board keeps a record of each guess, and you have five tries to get the whole list right.
The site says it is free, needs no account and takes about two minutes. It plays in any phone or desktop browser with no app, and an archive lists every earlier question by date so you can play the days you missed. The game sits on Front Office Sports' news pages, which carry ad banners above and beside the board.
It suits players who like lists and rankings, and those who enjoy the reasoning of Wordle more than recall alone: since the answers are on the board, even a hunch earns colours you can work from.
How to play Factle
- Read the day's question; the answer is a ranked list of five.
- Tap five of the 16 answers on the board to fill slots one to five.
- Drag the slots to put them in the order you think is right, then press Submit Ranking.
- Read the colours: green right spot, yellow in the top five but in the wrong spot, grey not in the top five.
- Keep the greens, swap out the greys, move the yellows and submit again; you have five tries.

Tips
- Fill every slot even when unsure; a grey tile rules an answer out for good.
- Get the five members of the list right first, then work on the order.
- Read the question's small print, such as a year or a tie rule, since it changes the order.
- Answers you have tried and ruled out are greyed on the board, so look at what is left.
