Factle Sports is Front Office Sports' daily trivia game. Each day's question asks for a ranked top five: you tap five of 16 answer tiles, put them in order and submit, and the colours show which are in the right spot, in the wrong spot or not in the top five. You get five guesses.
About Factle Sports
Factle Sports is the sports edition of Factle, the top five ranking game published by Front Office Sports, a site that covers the business of sport. Every day brings one question with a ranked answer: the five fastest men over 100 metres, the MLS teams with the most MLS Cup titles, the NBA players with the most career free throws, the Premier League goalkeepers with the most clean sheets. Questions move between sports, from the NFL, NBA and MLB to soccer, tennis and athletics, and each one names its source, such as World Athletics.
Under the question sit five numbered slots and a board of 16 answer tiles. You tap five tiles to fill the slots, drag the slots into the order you think is right and press Submit Ranking; a back arrow takes the last tile out again. Each answer then turns green if it is in the right spot, yellow if it is in the top five but in the wrong spot, and grey if it is not in the top five. The tiles on the board keep their colours, so you can see what is left to try. You have five guesses to get the whole list in order, and ties are settled by the rule printed with the question, often alphabetical by last name.
The game runs in any browser at desktop and phone size, is free, and needs no account or app. An archive lists earlier questions by date, so you can play days you missed. The page around the game carries ads from Front Office Sports. A round takes about two minutes, which suits readers who want one sports question with their morning news rather than a long quiz.

Tips
- Start with the answers you are surest of; a green slot anchors the rest of the list.
- Tiles on the board keep their colour after a guess, so a grey tile is one you can skip from then on.
- Read the tie rule under the question before ordering names with equal totals.
- Play the archive to get a feel for the kinds of records the questions are built on.
