on f1gridle.com

F1 Gridle is a free browser game where you name a mystery Formula 1 driver in six tries. Every guess shows how close you are on nationality, first team, titles, race wins, debut year and last season raced. Four difficulty modes each get their own new driver every day.
About F1 Gridle
F1 Gridle is a daily guessing game for Formula 1 fans, played in the browser with no sign-up. Each day there is one mystery driver to find, and you have six guesses to name him.
You search for any driver in the pool and submit him as a guess. The game then lays out a row of six clues for that driver: nationality, debut team, world titles, race wins, debut year and the last season he was active. Each clue turns green when it matches the mystery driver and red when it does not, and the number clues carry an arrow saying whether the answer is higher or lower. A number clue turns amber when it is close (in Midfield, within 7 wins or 4 debut years), and the debut team clue turns amber when the team belongs to the same constructor family, such as Red Bull and Toro Rosso. A hint button is there if you are stuck.
What sets it apart from other guess-the-driver games is the choice of era. Rookie draws from the current grid and recent drivers (2021 onward, 36 drivers), Midfield from the modern era since 2010 (84 drivers), Champion from every driver since 2000 (127) and Legend from all of F1 history since 1950 (174). Each mode has its own puzzle every day, so you can play the easy one and then try the harder ones.
After a round the game shows a fun fact about the driver, a countdown to the next puzzle, your streak and stats, and a button to share your result as a grid of coloured squares. It suits F1 fans who know the current grid, and in Legend mode, those who know the sport's history.
How to play F1 Gridle
- Open F1 Gridle and pick a difficulty from the menu under the title: Rookie, Midfield, Champion or Legend.
- Type a driver's name in the search box and pick him from the list to submit your guess.
- Read the six clues for your guess: green means it matches the mystery driver, red means it does not, and amber means close: a near number, or a debut team from the same constructor family.
- Follow the arrows on titles, wins, debut year and last active season to know whether the answer is higher or lower.
- Use the next guess to narrow it down; you have six in all, and a hint if you need it.
- When you find the driver or run out of guesses, read the fun fact, check your stats and share your result.

Tips
- Open with a driver whose career sits in the middle of the mode's era, so the debut year and last active arrows split the field in half.
- Nationality goes green or red with no arrow, so after a miss on a common nationality like British, switch to a driver from another country.
- Play Rookie first to keep a streak going, then try Legend for the drivers from before the 2000s.
