Elementle's daily board after two guesses, Iron and Calcium, each row coloured for atomic number, period, group, block, state, family and discovery, with a summary bar of 20 to 26 above

Elementle is a daily guessing game for the periodic table. You name an element and each property, such as period, group, block, state at room temperature and family, is coloured to show how it compares with the mystery element, with arrows for the atomic number. You have eight tries.

About Elementle

Elementle asks you to find one mystery element each day, the same for everyone. In the classic mode you type an element's name and the game compares it with the answer on several properties: atomic number, period, group, block, state at room temperature, chemical family and discovery era. Green means a match, orange and yellow mean close, red means no match, and an arrow on the atomic number tells you to go higher or lower. A summary bar above the table gathers what you have pinned down so far, such as the range the atomic number must fall in. You have eight tries.

When the day is solved, a results card shows your attempts, time and streak, with a spoiler-free share button and a countdown to the next element. From there the game offers other ways to keep playing. Hard mode drops the atomic number clues. Endless gives one classic round after another, not tied to the day. Clue mode reveals hints one by one, from what the element is not to exact details like its symbol. Practice runs through the whole table with up to three guesses per element, and a set challenge has you name every element in a period or group before you run out of mistakes.

A new daily arrives at midnight UTC. There is no sign-up and no ads, and a challenge link lets you send a friend the same puzzle. It suits students revising chemistry and anyone who likes attribute games such as Poeltl or Spotle.

How to play Elementle

  1. Open Elementle and type the name of any element in the search box, then press Guess.
  2. Read the colours on period, group, block, state, family and discovery era: green matches, orange and yellow are close, red is wrong.
  3. Use the atomic number arrow and the summary bar to narrow the range.
  4. Find the element within eight tries, then share your result or try Hard, Endless, Clue or Practice.

Tips

  • Start with an element in the middle of the table, such as iron, to split period and group at once.
  • State at room temperature narrows it fast: only a few elements are liquid.
  • Group and period together pin down a single element, so solve one, then the other.

Questions

When does Elementle reset?

At midnight UTC; the results card counts down to the next daily element.

How many tries do I get?

Eight in the classic daily and in Hard mode.

What does Hard mode change?

It removes the atomic number clue and its arrows.

Can I play more than one a day?

Yes. Endless mode gives unlimited classic rounds, and Practice and the set challenge are there for learning the table.

Does Elementle have ads or need an account?

No. The game page loads no ad scripts and the daily plays without signing up.
