Dumpling Galaxy
Rate itA cozy daily queens puzzle: one dumpling per row, column and zone.
on dumpling-galaxy.com

Dumpling Galaxy is a gentle logic puzzle in the style of LinkedIn's Queens and the Star Battle family. Each day's numbered board is split into coloured zones, and you place exactly one dumpling in every row, column and zone without any two touching. The web daily is free with no ads and no sign-up, and an Android app adds endless levels.
About Dumpling Galaxy
Dumpling Galaxy wraps a classic placement puzzle in a soft space-dumpling theme. The site's daily page gives everyone the same numbered board each day (Today's puzzle #77 on 19 October 2026), and the Android app on Google Play, published by Le Zon, carries the same daily challenge alongside its level mode.
The grid is divided into coloured zones. You need one dumpling in each row, each column and each zone, and no two dumplings may sit side by side, diagonals included. A single tap marks a cell with a cross to rule it out, and holding a cell places a dumpling. You have three hearts for mistakes, a timer runs while you play, and an Undo button takes back a slip. Boards change size from day to day: 19 October's was a quick 6x6, earlier ones 8x8. A solved board says Devoured! and offers a Share button.
The web page is plain and quick: the board, the hearts, the timer and buttons for French, a day or night theme and sounds. The app goes further, with twelve worlds of generated levels from Planet Bao to the Ravioli Riviera, stars to spend on dumpling skins, badges, streak shields, Blitz runs and a Daily Cook-Off menu of five grids. The app shows ads, with a one-time purchase to remove them; the web daily has none.
It suits players who enjoy Queens or Star Battle and want a softer, playful version with one shared board a day.
How to play Dumpling Galaxy
- Open today's numbered board and look at its coloured zones.
- Tap a cell to cross it out when it cannot hold a dumpling; tap again to clear the cross.
- Hold a cell to place a dumpling: one per row, column and zone, never two side by side, diagonals included.
- Fill the board before you lose your three hearts, then share your time.

Tips
- Start with the smallest zone; a one-cell or two-cell zone pins a dumpling quickly.
- When a zone lies entirely in one row or column, cross out the rest of that line.
- After placing a dumpling, cross out every neighbouring cell straight away.
- Count zones confined to the same set of rows; they can rule out cells elsewhere.
Questions
Is the board the same for everyone?
Yes. The site says it is a new puzzle every day with the same board for everyone, and each day's board has a number.
When does a new puzzle come out?
The page counts days by your own device's date, so the next board appears at your local midnight.
How many mistakes can I make?
You have three hearts.
Does it have ads?
The web daily shows none. The Android app is free with ads, and a single one-time purchase removes them.
Is there an app?
Yes, on Google Play for Android, with a daily challenge and endless generated levels.
