Domino Fit is a free daily tiling puzzle in the browser. Fill a grid with two kinds of domino, an upright one with one dot and a sideways one with two, so the dots in each row and column add up to the numbers at the edges. There are nine boards a day across three sizes, each with exactly one solution.
About Domino Fit
Domino Fit is a small logic puzzle by Joseph Caero. The board is a grid with a target number beside every row and column and a few blocked squares. You fill every open cell with dominoes of two kinds, an upright 0-1 and a sideways 0-2, which cannot be rotated, so that the dots in each line add up to its target.
The web version gives nine new boards each day, three each at 6x6, 7x7 and 8x8, counted by date from the first daily in February 2024, so everyone plays the same ones. Its FAQ says the daily boards are now picked at random from the level list, and that earlier boards in a set tend to have more blocked squares and play a little easier. Every board has a single solution. Solving one without a mistake earns a wizard mark, and the stats screen tracks solves, streaks and solve times, with a copyable result line to share.
The daily web game is free, with no account and no ads. A low-priced desktop version on Steam, for Windows and Linux, generates endless boards for people who want more.
What sets it apart from Kakuro or KenKen is the tight rule set: only two pieces, fixed in direction, so the puzzle is about where the blank halves fall. It suits players of Tents, Pips and other placement puzzles who like a clean rule and one answer.
How to play Domino Fit
- Open Domino Fit and pick 6x6, 7x7 or 8x8 at the top; tap or click the board to start.
- Place upright 0-1 and sideways 0-2 dominoes on the open cells (right-click, or tap with Tap to Toggle on, to swap type).
- Make the dots in each row and column add up to the number shown at its edge, covering every open cell.
- Fill the board correctly to solve it, then move to the next of the three boards in that size with the arrow.

Tips
- Rows or columns with a 0 cannot contain any dots, which forces where the blank halves go.
- Count how many dots a line needs against how many dominoes cross it.
- Try to solve without mistakes for the wizard mark.
- Start each day with the first 6x6 board: the first boards in a size usually have more blocked squares and fewer choices.
