Dead or Alive is a daily celebrity quiz styled like an old newspaper. Each day the same ten famous people come up for everyone; you call each one dead or alive, and when you correctly call someone dead you get a bonus question on how they died.

About Dead or Alive Today

Dead or Alive Today started on 19 January 2026 and numbers its editions from that day. The page is laid out like a newspaper, with each person presented as a subject in the day's edition and the price given as one guess.

For each of the ten subjects you pick Obituary (they have died) or Still in Print (they are alive). If you correctly say someone is dead, a bonus round asks how they went: cancer, accident, illness, violence or overdose. Your score counts right answers out of ten plus any bonus questions, and the game tracks your best run of correct answers and your daily streak.

The ten people are set by the date in UTC, so everyone sees the same edition, and you get one go a day. Once you finish, the edition is closed until the next day, and you can share your results.
