DailyMetro Istanbul is a free daily browser game about the Istanbul metro. Type any station and the board compares it with the hidden one on lines, direction, name length and district, colouring each clue green, orange or red, until you find the day's station in 8 guesses or fewer. It plays in Turkish, with an English version.
About DailyMetro Istanbul
DailyMetro is a set of free browser games, one for each city's transit network, made by Eliott Gandiolle. The Istanbul edition covers the city's metro lines on both sides of the Bosphorus. It opens in Turkish at dailymetro.live/istanbul, and the same game is in English at /istanbul/en.
Each day one station is the answer for everyone, under a day number, and a new one is drawn at midnight Istanbul time. You start with any station and have 8 guesses. Each guess fills a row: the lines your station shares with the hidden one, an arrow pointing toward the answer, whether its name has more or fewer letters, and whether it is in the same district (ilçe), such as Beyoğlu or Üsküdar. Green is a match, orange is close and red is a miss. At the fourth guess the game shows you the answer's line, and a button lets you give up and look at the map.
Before the first guess you choose Normal, with letter, district and hint clues, or Connoisseur, which trades them for the opening year and passenger traffic and gives no hints. Beside the classic game, the Map mode asks you to place the day's station on the network and the Photo mode shows a station entrance to name. A streak counter, statistics and past days are kept in the browser, with no account.
The game is free and needs no sign-up; the Istanbul page carries ads (a bar along the bottom, rails beside the board on wide screens and a small floating video on phones). It suits people who ride the Istanbul metro every day, transit fans, and visitors who want to learn the network one station at a time.
How to play DailyMetro Istanbul
- Open DailyMetro Istanbul, in Turkish or at /istanbul/en in English, and stay on the Classic tab.
- Choose Normal for letter, district and hint clues, or Connoisseur for year and traffic clues without hints.
- Type the name of any station and pick it from the list to make your first guess.
- Read the row: lines, the direction arrow, the letter count with its up or down mark, and the district, each green, orange or red.
- Use the arrow and shared lines to choose a station closer to the answer; from the fourth guess the game shows the answer's line.
- Find the station within 8 guesses, then share your result and try the Map and Photo modes for the same day.

Tips
- Open with a big interchange such as Yenikapı or Mecidiyeköy: it tests several lines at once.
- The direction arrow is the strongest clue early on: if it points across the Bosphorus, switch sides before narrowing down.
- Use the letter count to choose between neighbouring stations in the same district.
- Learn the lines in the network explorer before trying Connoisseur.
