About Daily Mirror Quiz Crossword
The Daily Mirror Quiz Crossword is a crossword whose clues are general-knowledge questions rather than definitions. A clue asks you to finish a name ("Golda -, prime minister of Israel from 1969-74") or to name a film, a bird or a place, so it tests what you know as much as your vocabulary.
Each day brings one dated 13 by 13 grid, the same for every reader. Long answers are often split across two or three entries, with a clue such as "see 11 Across" pointing to the main one. The across and down clues sit beside the grid on a computer, and on a phone a clue bar sits above an on-screen keyboard. A timer runs while you play, and three Jokers reveal a letter each when you are stuck. More Jokers can be earned by watching a short advert.
The Mirror runs its puzzles at games.mirror.co.uk on a player made by kr3m, the same one used for its main, quick and cryptic crosswords. The date bar opens an archive of past grids. A high score list is there for players who log in, but the daily needs no account.
It suits pub quiz fans and crossword solvers who like a grid that rewards knowing a fact more than spotting wordplay.

Tips
- Clues ending in a dash want the missing part of a name. These are often the quickest way into a corner.
- A clue that says "see 15 Across" belongs to a longer answer. Read the main clue and fill all its parts together.
- The Jokers do not lower your score, so use one on a name you have never heard of.
- Come back daily, as each day brings a new grid.
