Daily Firefly is a calm iPhone puzzle about rhythm. Each day brings one meadow, the same for everyone, where families of fireflies pulse in unison among others that only look close. You drag the fireflies into jars until each jar holds one whole family.
About Daily Firefly
Daily Firefly is a puzzle of watching rather than counting. The screen shows a dark meadow with fireflies drifting and blinking, and a row of empty jars below. Some fireflies belong to the same family and blink in perfect unison; others are rivals whose rhythm is only close. You drag each firefly into a jar. Jarmates blink side by side so you can compare them, and one that is off the beat stands out against the rest. When every jar holds one whole family, the meadow hums and the puzzle is solved.
A new meadow opens each evening, seeded from the date, and everyone everywhere gets the same one. The week deepens from Glimmer on Monday through Gleam, Twinkle, Shimmer, Glow and Sparkle to Swarm on Sunday. There are no wrong moves and no clock pressure while you watch.
Solving at or under par earns three stars and faster solves up to five, with tiers named Wandering, Flickering, Gathered, Aglow and Luminous. A spoiler-free card shares stars, time and streak, freeze tokens bridge missed days, and Game Center has boards for the fastest solve today and the longest streak.
The daily meadow is free with no ads, and Firefly+ is a one-time unlock for unlimited practice at difficulties from Dusk to Witching Hour. It is one of the single-puzzle daily apps from the maker of Daily Knot, and came out in June 2026.
How to play Daily Firefly

- Watch the meadow: some fireflies pulse together in perfect unison.
- Drag a firefly into a jar, then add others you think share its rhythm.
- Compare jarmates blinking side by side and move any that fall off the beat.
- Fill every jar with one whole family to finish, then share your stars.
