Coronet's Daily Queensguard #46 for Fri, Oct 16, 2026: an empty 9x9 board of colour regions marked Easy, with the rules box, the day's leaderboard and Undo, Reset, Check, Hint and Archive buttons

Coronet is a free browser site with 13 puzzle games, seven of them with a shared daily board: Queensguard, Lunation, Sudoku, Fivesome, Lexiladder, Rectopia and Cellrun. Every daily is the same for everyone that day, each game keeps its own streak, and hints name the technique behind the next move.

About Coronet

Coronet began with a Queens-style crown puzzle and has grown into a set of 13 short games, all played in the browser with no account. Its games have since been renamed: the crown puzzle is now Queensguard, the suns and moons grid Lunation, the one-line path Cellrun, the rectangle grid Rectopia, the five-clue category game Fivesome and the trivia word ladder Lexiladder. A fresh set lands every midnight in your own time zone, and the home page counts how many of the day's seven dailies you have finished.

Most of the daily set is logic grids with a single answer that you reach by reasoning: Queensguard, where one crown goes in every row, column and colour region with no two touching; Lunation, balancing suns and moons; classic 9x9 Sudoku; Rectopia, where you cut the grid into rectangles that fit their clues; and Cellrun, one path through every cell joining the numbered dots in order. Two are word puzzles: Fivesome asks for the category behind five clues, and Lexiladder is a word ladder with trivia clues in which the letters you change spell the final word.

Each daily board is shared by everyone and has a leaderboard of the day's fastest first solves. Minesweeper has a shared board each week rather than each day, and Crownlight, Campfire and Gridlock have weekly boards too. Mini Sudoku, Mergefall and Blockfit are played on demand. Past Queensguard dailies can be replayed from an archive.

Hints do more than fill a cell: each one names the technique and explains why it works, and every game has short lessons. Each game banks one streak freeze that covers a single missed day and comes back seven days later.

Beyond the dailies there is unlimited play for fresh boards whenever you like, and Beat the Clock, three-minute sprints. Progress is kept in your browser.

How to play Coronet

  1. Open playcoronet.com and pick any of the day's seven puzzles from the Today's puzzles list; Queensguard is the suggested first one.
  2. Read the rules box at the top of the puzzle, for example one crown per row, column and colour region in Queensguard.
  3. Solve the board by reasoning; tap to mark cells, and use Check or a Hint if you get stuck.
  4. Come back for the rest of the set, or open the archive to replay a day you missed.

Tips

  • In Queensguard, look first for a colour region confined to a single row or column: its crown must go there, which clears that line for every other region.
  • Use the hints to learn rather than to finish: each one names the technique, and the Learn pages walk through each one with practice boards.
  • Each game has its own streak and one freeze, so missing one puzzle on a busy day does not end the others.
