Colour Match is a daily colour game from Bludle. You see the day's target colour, mix your own version with red, green and blue controls from 0 to 255, and submit once. Your score is the total distance across the three channels, so 0 is a perfect match.
About Colour Match
Colour Match is one of the browser games on Bludle. Each day it shows a single target swatch, and beside it your own mix, which starts at black. Under the two swatches sit a red, a green and a blue control, each running from 0 to 255, with a box that shows the exact number.
The target stays on screen the whole time, so this is not a memory test. The hard part is reading a colour as three numbers: how much blue is in a deep navy, or how much green turns a red into an orange. You can move the controls as long as you like, but you get only one submission a day.
When you submit, the game shows the target's RGB values next to yours and the difference on each channel. Those three gaps are added together into your score, and lower is better. A statistics panel keeps your average difference, your best match and how many colours you have played, and a share button copies or sends your result. The result card also counts a streak across Bludle's games and points you to Afterimage, its memory-based sibling.
It is free with ads, runs in the browser with no download, and asks for no account. A round takes a few minutes, which suits anyone who works with colour codes or wants to train their eye for them.
How to play Colour Match
- Study the target swatch on the left: that is today's colour.
- Move the red, green and blue controls, or type values from 0 to 255, until your mix on the right looks the same.
- Press Submit today's mix when you are happy. You get one submission a day.
- Read the result: the target's RGB values, yours, and the difference on each channel, added into a total. Lower is better and 0 is perfect.
- Share your result if you like, and come back the next day for a new colour.

Tips
- Set the strongest channel first. In a deep blue, get blue close before you worry about red and green.
- Judge brightness before hue: if your mix looks too dark, raise all three channels together, then adjust the balance.
- Greys and pastels have three channels close together; strong colours have one or two near 0.
- A small gap on each channel adds up, so check all three before you submit rather than perfecting one.
Questions
How is Colour Match scored?
Your score is the sum of the differences between your red, green and blue values and the target's. A score of 0 is a perfect match, and lower is always better.
Can I try more than once a day?
No. You can adjust the controls as long as you like, but each day's colour takes a single submission.
Do I need an account?
No. The game runs in the browser and keeps your statistics on your own device.
When does the colour change?
The game does not name an hour. It picks the colour from the day of the year on your device, so a new one appears after midnight where you are.
