Clockwork

Clockwork is a free turn-based heist puzzle in 3D. You cross a guarded vault where guards walk fixed loops and lasers blink on a set beat, and the clock only moves when you step or wait. Each UTC day brings one ranked Daily Heist, the same vault for everyone, with a single attempt; it needs a free account, while practice vaults play without one.
About Clockwork
In Clockwork nothing is random. Guards walk fixed loops with a line of sight, laser grids switch on and off in a steady rhythm, and the world moves one tick each time you step or choose to wait. Waiting is a real move: you use it to let a patrol pass or a laser go dark before slipping through. A look-ahead slider scrubs forward in time to show where every guard and laser will be, so a vault can be planned before you commit.
The screen tracks your loot, a style multiplier for slipping past guards, the clock against its limit, and three backtracks that undo your last step. Most vaults also hide a secret stash. Practice vaults can be restarted at once, and loot you bank buys cosmetic themes and avatars in a store, a locker and a 14-day battle pass, which the game says is in test mode for now.
The Daily Heist is the ranked mode. Its vault is the same for every player on each UTC day and you get one attempt, so the look-ahead matters most here. You must log in or create an account with an email address before the daily opens; results go on a shared Top 10 and can be shared as a challenge link. The daily vault is drawn from the game's five standard layouts, rotated or mirrored, so a regular player will meet the same shapes again within weeks.
The maker, NnNMedia, built it as a single HTML file with Three.js and a small backend for the rankings, and its itch.io page lists it as in development, with AI assisting the code and graphics. It plays in the browser on phones and desktops. It suits players who like planning a route against fixed patrols, in the vein of turn-based stealth puzzles.
How to play Clockwork
- Open Clockwork, read the How to play card and close it.
- Practise on the normal vaults, where Restart and New vault are free.
- Press Daily Heist and log in or create a free account to start the day's vault.
- Drag the look-ahead slider to scout where guards and lasers will be on later ticks.
- Tap or swipe to an adjacent tile, or use WASD, to step; press Wait or tap yourself to let the clock tick.
- Grab the loot and any secret stash without standing in a guard's sight or a lit laser, then reach the green exit within the clock limit.

Tips
- Plan the whole route with the look-ahead before your first step in the daily; there is no restart.
- A wait is often safer than a detour: lasers come back on a fixed beat.
- Keep your three backtracks for the tight moments near guards.
- Practise each of the standard vaults: the daily is one of them, turned or mirrored.
