Bisecto Daily Challenge, shape 1 of 10 on 21 October 2026: a pink polygon cut by one line into pieces of 44.1% and 55.9%, scored 88.18%

Bisecto shows a geometric shape and asks you to slice it into two halves of equal area with one straight line. The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same ten shapes and one attempt, scored by how close each cut comes to a perfect 50/50. There are also arcade, practice and friend challenge modes, with no ads and no sign-up needed to play.

About Bisecto

Bisecto is a precision game about area. Each shape is a polygon generated by the game, from plain convex outlines to jagged ones with narrow lobes and holes, and it needs one straight cut that splits it into two equal halves. When you make the cut the shape comes apart, each piece is labelled with its share, such as 44.1 and 55.9 percent, and the game turns the smaller side into an accuracy score, with a short timer on each shape.

The daily is the centre of it. Every day there is a numbered Daily Challenge of ten identical shapes for everyone, drawn from the date at the harder difficulty levels, and you get one attempt. Your average accuracy can go onto the daily leaderboard if you log in, a streak counts the days you play, and the share card shows a row of coloured squares for your cuts. The next challenge arrives at midnight UTC.

You can choose how to cut: draw the line by dragging, slide a line across, or rotate one around the centre. Outside the daily there is an arcade run where every cut must reach 95 percent and three misses end it, a practice mode with six difficulty levels, and friend challenges where everyone gets the same shapes and the best score wins. The maker's own article on the site explains the maths behind the scoring, from the shoelace formula to why a perfect cut always exists.

It suits players who like quick spatial puzzles, and anyone who suspects they can eyeball the middle of a shape better than they can. It plays in the browser on a phone or a computer, with no ads.

How to play Bisecto

  1. Open Bisecto and choose Daily Challenge, then Begin Today's Challenge.
  2. Look at the shape and judge where a line would split its area evenly, minding thin parts and holes.
  3. Draw, slide or rotate the line, depending on your control setting, before the timer runs out.
  4. See the two pieces with their percentages and your accuracy, then press Next Shape.
  5. After ten shapes, see your average accuracy, rank and streak, and share the result.

Tips

  • Think about area, not width: a thin long part counts for less than it looks.
  • For symmetrical shapes, any line through the centre of symmetry halves the area.
  • Try the rotate control if you find it easier to pick an angle through the middle.
  • Warm up in practice mode at the same difficulty before the daily, which you only get once.
