art of rally is a top-down rally driving game set in the golden era of the sport, from 1960s cars to Group B and Group S. Beside a long career mode it runs an online daily challenge and a weekly one, where everyone drives the same stage and car class for a place on the leaderboard. It is a paid game on PC, Mac, Linux, consoles and phones, with no ads.
About art of rally
art of rally is a rally game by Funselektor Labs, from the creator of Absolute Drift, released on Steam in September 2020 for Windows, Mac and Linux. It came to Xbox and Nintendo Switch in August 2021 and to PlayStation 4 and 5 in October 2021, and Noodlecake brought it to iPhone and Android as a paid port. It looks nothing like a typical racing sim: stages are shown from a high, angled top-down camera in a soft, low-poly style, with environments inspired by real rally countries.
The cars span the history of rally from the 1960s to the wild Group B era, and the handling rewards proper rally technique such as weight transfer, left-foot braking and handbrake turns. Career mode takes you across 91 stages on Steam, from Finland to Sardinia, Norway, Japan, Germany, Kenya and Indonesia.
The daily challenge is the part that brings players back every day. Each day the game sets a challenge on a given stage, and everyone who enters is ranked on a shared online leaderboard. A weekly challenge works the same way over a longer window, and the game lets you look back at previous daily and weekly leaderboards.
It also has a photo mode and replays for showing off runs. It suits players who want a short, focused driving test each day, and anyone who likes rally but prefers style and feel over simulation detail.
